Even more spring Pinteresting

Hey y’all! Welcome back for more of my favs. Don’t forget to check out the first two posts where I share some of my favorite outfits for more traditional spring weather and some favorite outfits for more southern weather and even feature a bit o’ the Irish style for ya!

Today I’m sharing with you the last of my pinned ideas for spring. You can check out the rest of my favorites over on Pinterest and remember you can click the pictures to take you directly to the original post.

Starting off… lets get ready for church, shall we? Of course any of these outfits would be suitable for work as well. I love dresses and wish I had more occasions to wear them. My workplace is business casual and at church I’m usually working with the 3-year-olds so these pretty outfits just don’t get much wear.

Here are some outfits warm enough for the springtime temperatures but have that fun spring look that’s begging for a tan! Here we are sticking with the pants but have moved into tanks and warmer weather tops.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little series. I really have become addicted to Pinterest. I love the ideas and the ability to store them all in one place. Let me know your thoughts, favorites, ones you didn’t like.

A more Pinteresting springtime

Hey y’all! I’m back with more outfit ideas. If you missed it please check out the first post on more traditional spring outfits for temps in the 60s. Today I’m featuring more southern springtime outfits. We’re getting close to my birthday and my annual afternoon of celebration at the Lemon Bar and I can’t wait! Here are some ideas to help you feel more like spring. I think the time change this weekend has set me back a bit, though. I felt like a zombie this morning getting ready for work. Also, don’t forget to click the pictures to be taken through to the original post for more information.

Starting off we have more of the mint like we saw last week. This time the mint is paired with a neutral top and casual jeans. Plus, I love those crystal knotted flops from Accessorize!

Some more muted mint for you. I’m digging the sparkly flats and that top from House of Fraser.

What about St. Patrick’s Day, you say? How about we look at some lively green outfits?

First up a lovely bit o’ the Irish for you with some sweet clover earrings and that fantastic striped sweater. This outfit would be perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration without being too over the top.

Another casual outfit with a green vibe. This one pairs the bold black and white although it bothers me that the shoes aren’t quite the same color as the top. I think I would just stick to black flats in this instance.

This lovely green dress is a little more sophisticated and would be perfect for church seeing as St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday this year.

For those who are looking to add green to their wardrobe but not make it the central focus I love how they’ve paired the green with the navy striped dress. I especially love that necklace.

Here is a much more formal option for those of you headed for a night out on the town. Something that says, “Kiss me, I’m Irish (today)!” Without being too kitschy. I’m definitely in love with that dress. Here we have some awesome butter LONDON nail polish again and I want to own those earrings.

Moving away from St. Patrick’s day here is an outfit also befitting a night out on the town. Even though my sister in NYC is close to 5’10” she still rocks the heels and I can totally see her rocking this outfit. I’m in love with that sparkly sequined top!

Back to the more casual outfits this one features a neutral top and colorful handbag.

More green, I know. This outfit has a fantastic necklace, bracelet, and earrings.

I love the browns featured in this outfit. The infinity scarf and the sequined flats are favs.

This is definitely one of my favorite outfits so far. I love everything about it. I love the pops of coral and that awesome handbag.

Here we have more coral (leaning toward orange). The top is fantastic, I love the necklace, I think the handbag is great, and I want those shoes.

Finally, one last coraly outfit for y’all. This one is definitely best suited for the office. I love the caramel accessories and I really want that top. Too bad it’s sold out.

Tune in later this week as I share a few more of my favorite springtime pics!

Ready for a Pinteresting Spring

OMG y’all. I’m so over this cold weather. I know, I know, I live in Florida and have nothing to complain about. Here’s the deal, I live in Florida. Therefore, it needs to be warm. I like a cold snap just as much as the next guy. I love to bring out my winter coats and boots and scarves and I love the low humidity. However, it starts getting close to my birthday and I want SUNSHINE!

So, to distract me from the cold weather we are having and to start planning for this spring I’m sharing with you some of my favorite outfits I’ve pinned on Pinterest. First up, for those in areas where it won’t be as warm in the spring like it is here I’m sharing some choices that are good traditional springtime weather outfits (click on the picture to take you to the page). Next week I’ll share more traditional Florida warm weather favorites.

I absolutely adore this jean dress/ scarf/ boots combo. I especially think this outfit would look adorbs on my tall beautiful sister who currently lives in the fabulous NYC. She would look uber cute in this!

This outfit is something I could wear here in Florida (this week the highs are in the 60s) but would work just as well anywhere else this springtime. I love the giant oversized scarf and would kill for that watch (pardon the weird hand attached to the jeans).

Here we have a lovely purple combo. I like the colorful but muted scarf and how all the accessories pull from those colors however even if you were to take off the scarf the outfit would look just as put together.

This outfit is borderline warm weather and edging out of springtime. The tank-top makes it a warm 60s outfit and not so much a cool 60s outfit or you’ll freeze your tatas. Unless you’re from Canada in which case you’ll probably be wearing shorts when the rest of us have on our winter jackets still. My favs are the bracelet and the pops of mustard.

Back to the cooler temps and a bit more with the layers. I like how the little mustard tank pops out beneath the top. I love the bag, of course, and the nail polish from butter LONDON.

Oh how I love green. Mostly because it’s my eye color and therefore I look great in green. This celery/lime combo is especially nice. This will be a super cute outfit for my trip to NYC and I’m digging that bag.

Again with the green. I love those open weave flats. I like the green sweater and how the accessories tie the outfit together.

Some mauve here in this bunch with that beautiful scarf and again the open weave flats.

Now we’re getting a little brighter with more fun springtime colors. I love the nail polish! The pops of pink and mint really speak spring to me.

Finally we end on more muted springy note. Again the awesome butter LONDON nail polish. I love the pink flats, pretty Roberto Cavalli ring. sequined scarf, and Marika Charles floral tank.

Hopefully this post will give you some great ideas. I know that if I’m feeling so over the cold weather that those of you living in places up north are probably more over it than I am. Spring officially begins March 20th so start planning!

Hope y’all had a great week!

A Pinteresting Bedroom

Hey there y’all. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m thoroughly addicted to Pinterest. Today I thought I’d share with you some ideas I’ve found that center around the master bedroom. Craig and I have a giant king-size bed (that we love) but no headboard. When contemplating ideas for our future home I’m drawn down several different paths and am loving all the inspiration out there!

First, we’re leaning toward purchasing a sleigh-bed instead of just DIYing a headboard. I long thought I’d want no footboard but after living with Craig and seeing how our bed looks each morning I’ve decided we need something solid to hide the covers. See, Craig likes to kick out the covers from being tucked into the bed and instead tuck them under his feet. He sleeps with the covers like a coocoon whereas I sleep with it all tucked in nicely and when I wake up you can hardly tell someone was in the bed. I’ve made my peace with his cover habits but have decided that we need something to hide the mess.

Enter the Tate Street Sleigh Bed by Thomasville:

When browsing for king size sleigh beds I noticed that they all have sides that come way down to the floor leaving no ability to use the underneath for storage. This bed, however, has built-in storage and no box-spring so that solves my dilemma. We have looked at plenty of different headboard-footboard combinations and we’ve decided that this is our favorite. If you’re not into the sleigh bed look there are plenty of other options. The Farmhouse Canopy Bed and Hudson Bed both from Pottery Barn seem to be our favorites.

Another part of the bed that is equally important is the bedding. I’m drawn to greens and blues with a little red thrown in for good measure but I wouldn’t be opposed to an all neutral palette. Of course, if it were up to Craig it would be nothing but white linens, end of story. I don’t think that I would be opposed to white linens as long as there are other accents of color. So, I’ve pinned some favorite combinations:

The last two photos are my favorites. They mix the white linens that Craig loves with the blues that I love. In fact, I’m thinking about taking the wall color a step further with painted planks like this option below:

I know that I’m kinda all over the place but I think that’s the beauty of a pinboard. You can save all your sources of inspiration and once you’re finally ready to take the leap into a project you can determine what will look best in that particular location. Which ones do you like? Or is your style completely different? What design ideas do you have to share? I’d love your feedback!

How Pinteresting… (bathroom edition)

Howdy y’all!

First, how many of y’all watch Duck Dynasty? Anyone? Just me? Hey Jack … it makes me Happy Happy Happy! My favorite character is probably Si just because he’s a crazy old man and makes me laugh. Although I love the patriarch, Phil, because he’s so grounded in his faith and has such wisdom to impart on the group. Those crazy bunch of rednecks make me laugh.

Second, I’m thoroughly addicted to Pinterest. Mostly I’ve been pinning wish-list items. Since we’re stuck in this condo a while longer I’m stuck with dreaming about my future home. In addition to entering the HGTV Dream Home every day, I’m constantly pinning items for our new abode. For example, I seem to have a thing for bathrooms…

Some are completely beachy fun and childish:

Some are beachy in a more sophisticated way:

Some are beachy with an all-white historic cottage look:

One is designed by a favorite blogging couple:

One is rather modern and simple but still feels tropical:

Then I have pinned ideas for wall treatments like bead-board:

Or this delightful mermaid looking tile:

Or I’ve pinned a particular wall color that I love:

Or an amazing skylight in an attic bathroom:

Or something fabulous to give the bathroom some character:

Mostly, Pinterest is a way for me to keep track of all my great ideas for our future home. I remember when we would be building or renovating my mom would keep a folder in the kitchen where she would keep torn out pictures from magazines that inspired her. I think that Pinterest is the new “folder of ideas.”

Do y’all pin? Have you actually completed any projects? One friend of mine started a pin-board that is a collection of all her hits/misses so she’ll know what she has/hasn’t tried and what works or does not work at all. I think that’s a great idea. Once I get my posts up about the wedding I’ll have to link back to my pin-board with all the projects successfully completed. Hope y’all are having a good week! If I don’t already follow you on Pinterest be sure to leave me a link to your board!
