For a fun end to what (for me) has been a super stressful week take this Visual DNA quiz. It is a nice diversion and an interesting way to determine your personality profile.
I thought the test was rather revealing but you know how I feel about these sort of personality inventories. I just can’t get enough of the stuff! So here is my profile with comments in blue (don’t forget to share yours!):
“You’re an Energizer. You’re curious about the world around you and love to expand your horizons. After all, in life you get out what you put in.You’re well-rounded with a healthy attitude about life. Your passion and enthusiasm mean you thrive on new experiences and ideas. You value original thought and have a strong appreciation for arts and culture. Variety is definitely the spice of your life, and you thrive on having lots of different activities to sustain your interest.Things might be feeling a bit monotonous at the moment. You could probably do with shaking things up and having a break from your usual routine. When it comes to improving things in your life, why would you say no to extra cash? It would be great to treat the family whenever you feel like it. The trick is to be disciplined about budgeting. If you stay on top of your finances, you’ll feel a lot more secure and probably save a bit too.You can be busy and constantly on the go. For you, it’s important to find time to listen to your inner voice. Broaden your horizons so you don’t stagnate, but also try to make sure you leave some gaps in your busy schedule to recharge those batteries. It’s easy for you to fly from one full-on activity to another without any downtime. But it’s in the quieter moments that we really get to know ourselves and our inner truth. Make sure the pace doesn’t stop you from having honest moments of contemplation. For a lively people person like you, it’s especially important to balance the “up” times with some quiet and reflective downtime. You can’t expect yourself to run on all cylinders 100 percent of the time. The value of quiet time to meditate on your hopes and desires shouldn’t be underestimated.” People do say that I have a bubbly personality. I am curious and love learning new things. I’m quite opinionated and don’t mind shaking things up. Also, I’m not great with the budget so that part is true. Thank goodness for Craig. Also, I think they’re correct with the needing to recharge once in a while. Sometimes I push myself too hard.
“You would like to be able to share your spiritual side with your new partner. Feeling at peace with the world comes naturally when you’re travelling life’s path with your soulmate. You’re a deeply passionate person and will go to extreme lengths for love. You’re naturally open and find it easy to make connections. It’s all about intuition and chemistry and being swept off your feet. Love means opening yourself up to intense experiences that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. You are expressive and sensual and, so making a strong physical connection is important to you. It feels really good to lose yourself in the moment. There’s nothing like being in love to put a smile on your face, butterflies in your stomach and a spring in your step.” My faith is definitely important to me and I’m glad that Craig and I have a spiritual bond. I am a passionate person and at times that can be a bit smothering so I do try and lie back a bit and let Craig lead more often.
“So you’re Passionate but what tips can we give for keeping the magic alive in your relationship?” We already do all these things…
- Say it loud and clear. Big romantic gestures are all part of the package for you. If you’re in love, you want the whole world to know it so don’t be afraid to shout it from the rooftops!
- Who said fireworks have to be for a special occasion? Organize your very own fireworks display in your backyard, complete with barbecue and beers! Whatever the weather, sit out under the stars, or under an umbrella if you have to. It’s all about being together!
- Book tickets for a weekend away. Keep it a surprise to add to the excitement (just make sure you give little hints about what to pack!)
- Take it easy. Hit a really great farmers market together, buy delicious ingredients and head home to cook up a feast.
“You’re an adventurer at heart, and love to see new places when you get the chance. Expanding your horizons can really help to put things into perspective. The true mark of success for you is a happy home. It is the main focus of your life and the center of all your aspirations. You’re happiest when you feel settled and comfortable. True fulfillment for you is in having strong, loving relationships with family and friends. If they’re healthy and happy, that’s all that matters to you.” Absolutely true. I love exploring the world around me. If I had unlimited funding I would do nothing but travel around the world for the rest of my life with the love of my life, Craig. Also, the point about my family is spot on. I would do anything for my family and friends.
“You’re a real morning person. You enjoy getting up and seizing the day.You believe in a balanced approach to living a healthy lifestyle. It’s all about moderation. You enjoy exercise and eating healthily, but you’re not going to let it take over and run your life. You manage to fit physical activity around your everyday activities, and your happy-go-lucky attitude means you won’t stress about it too much. You know that a couple of missed gym sessions won’t make a huge difference to how you feel overall. It’s definitely not worth worrying about, that’s for sure.” Technically I loathe getting up in the morning and would love to sleep 10 hours each night however, once I am up I’m just as perky as any other time of the day. I definitely agree with the statement about exercise and eating healthily. I try hard to accomplish both goals but I definitely believe “everything in moderation” and it’s okay to indulge once in a while!
“You know taking care of yourself is important, so you’re more likely to be found whipping up a dinner full of vitamins and nutrients than browsing the ready meals aisle in the supermarket. Even when you feel stressed and don’t have time to cook, throwing together a simple salad can be just as rewarding. Remember to treat yourself every now and again, though – the occasional ice-cream sundae is the ultimate treat.” OMG I love food. So much so that I take pictures on a pretty regular basis of what Craig makes for dinner. I love veggies and I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so I guess that’s a good thing.
“If you took some time out to visualize your dream life, you could probably see yourself away from the rat race, chilling out on a beach. Nothing puts a smile on your face like waking up to sun, sea and sand without a care in the world. Fresh fruit, seafood and not a cloud in the sky…sounds like paradise!” I love the beach y’all… obviously… it’s where I live!
“Asking about the latest book you’re reading is probably the best way to get you talking! What better way to chill out and unwind than a good book that takes you faraway from everyday life? Escapism at its best!” I definitely read way more than I watch television or movies.
“You’re polished, chic and sophisticated. First impressions count, and you like to make a good one. You’re successful, driven and motivated. Whether it’s at work or at play, you always give 100 percent and thrive on a challenge. Every once in a while, though, it’s great to let your hair down, so why not indulge in a spa day and show off your pampered and pedicured feet in some strappy sandals?” I firmly believe that you should always put your best face forward. My mom always said growing up, “you never know when you could meet the President” and I never leave the house without looking presentable.
“You’re open-minded and a positive thinker, so when you get the chance to go traveling, you love to head somewhere exotic and off the beaten track. For you, escapism is the ultimate in relaxation. It’s the perfect antidote to the stress of everyday life. You love the feel of the sun and sea on your skin, so your perfect vacation would definitely include a beach. Even better if it’s secluded and undiscovered by hordes of tourists!” AMEN. I already live at the beach but when I think of a vacation the first thing that comes to mind is a different beach. Too funny. I guess that I just get so stressed at work and such and the beach is a perfect way to relax for me so some forced relaxation on vacation is just what the doctor ordered. However, I also love learning and exploring so my close second favorite vacation would be to a new city or country.
