On Being Famous …

DSC00621

I’ve told you that I’m famous, right?

Oh, I haven’t? Well, I am.

I know it might come as a surprise for those who don’t know me well but for those that do this is nothing new … 😉

Mostly I know I’m famous because of the calls I receive at work.

Caller: “Are you the lady I just listened to while waiting for the office to answer?” Me: “Why, yes, I am.” Caller: “Oh my God! I can’t believe I’m talking to you. No way! You’re so helpful!”

This happens often folks. As in … this has happened at least three whole times. I know what you’re thinking … I can’t believe that this friend of mine with this cool blog of hers is actually famous … she’s so down to earth and not at all full of herself.

I know, I know. I’m pretty amazing like that. I try hard to lead a normal life. I try hard to not take advantage of my celebrity status.

I mean, I definitely don’t say to people, “Don’t you know who I am?” when I am not receiving adequate service at the local Target store. No, I just shop like a normal person.

Well, I just wanted to make sure that y’all knew that I wasn’t deliberately keeping my celebrity from you but you know, I’m just trying to, well, live a normal life.

Please don’t ask me for my autograph (as one caller did). I’d just like to remain your normal average blogger friend, MissCaron. Thanks for respecting my privacy. 🙂
