Last Friday, August 28, 2009 was the final day of Reading Rainbow—also known as “the best show on PBS not called ‘Sesame Street.’”
Can I just tell you how sad I am? I loved that show so much!
So, today I’m mentioning this show as one of the Things I Like. In tribute, let’s all sing along to the theme song (embedded below): “IIIII can be ANYthiiiiing …”

This made me so sad, Reading Rainbow was a big part of my early reading and I still remember some books I found through that show. I had hoped my own kids would get to enjoy it too someday
